A note from MFLA President, Rusty Mumford
To all MFLA members,
As you strive to maintain normalcy through the crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the MFLA Officers and Board of Directors stand ready to continue our support of our colleagues and world language education in the state of Maryland. Beginning with the initial declaration of school closure, we all stepped into unknown territory and many of us are still not sure of what step to take next. Our students are feeling the same things as we are.
It is important that we all work toward a common goal through this – to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. MFLA will continue to do all we can to support all our members as you work toward that goal. All Maryland LEA’s are establishing plans for alternate education which will best serve their school population. If there is a way that MFLA can assist, please reach out to us for ideas and/or help. We posted a few resources online HERE that you may find useful. Continue to follow the website and other social media outlets for further information which may help.
Know that whatever the future holds for the remainder of the school year and beyond, MFLA is here to stand by you and to help in any way possible.
We are MFLA!
