Emily Bugbee is a National Board Certified Spanish teacher from Cecil County. She has been a board member since 2016. Since joining the board, she has served as Treasurer and is the current 1st Vice President. Emily represented MFLA in Cohort 2 of ACTFL’s Leadership Initiative for Language Learning (LILL), and developed an action plan through her participation to address the growing need for more teacher leadership training in world language education. This led her to apply for the 2019 Mead Fellowship through NECTFL, which she was awarded and through which she developed and facilitated the Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today online academy. This effort was in conjunction with NECTFL, MSDE and Cecil County Public Schools.
