Erminia is currently a World Languages Instructional Specialist for Montgomery County Public Schools.  Throughout her 22 years of experience as an educator, she has taught Spanish in middle and high school ranging from levels 1 to AP/IB as well as Italian to adults ranging from beginners to intermediate levels.  She has also held a number of leadership positions including Department Chair, Resource Teacher, and Consulting Teacher. Erminia is a National Board Certified Teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  Erminia is currently representing MFLA at the Leadership Initiative for Language Learning (LILL).  As such, she had the opportunity to attend the LILL Summer Institute and engage with other World Language Emerging Leaders from a variety of states.  Together with the other MFLA Board of Directors, Erminia is working on developing a plan to provide professional development and support for beginning teachers in the state of Maryland.
